The No. 1 that comes to mind is certainly the Apple Watch, BUT there are alternatives, of course, which are more favourable in price. If you are an APPLE-Fan and don’t worry about money too much, get your favorite, you for sure won’t regret it. Let’s take a closer look to those Smartwatches that work with iPhone.
1. Apple Watch Series 9
The Apple Watch Series 9 represents an upgrade over last year’s model, providing more health-tracking features such as ECG and blood oxygen sensors as well as body temperature sensing to monitor sleep and menstrual cycles. It also boasts a brighter display and faster Siri that processes commands locally instead of using cloud servers; plus it enables an all new Double Tap gesture by its S9 system-in-package chip inside.
Apple introduced a second-generation Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip with iPhone 15 that supports what Apple refers to as Precision Finding for users through the Find My iPhone app. Precision Finding provides audiovisual and haptic guidance to assist in quickly finding misplaced phones, even if it is hidden somewhere behind a bookshelf or desk.
Siri requests will now be processed directly on the watch itself, eliminating their need to travel across networks like Google Cloud and improve response times for tasks like snoozing alarms and answering calls. Apple also improved the always-on screen with darker mode for easier reading in dim light conditions as well as auto resume feature that keeps your watch awake after long pauses or while sleeping.
The Apple Watch Series 9 starts at round about $300 and comes in two display sizes with various bands and watch face colors and styles, offering enhanced fitness tracking, Double Tap functionality and faster Siri. Aside from price and band availability differences from its older predecessor, Series 8, there’s little that sets it apart; those already wearing an older Series 8 should consider upgrading for longer battery life and advanced fitness tracking features.
2. Fitbit Versa
Fitbit may not have the same high profile when it comes to smartwatches as Apple, but that doesn’t make its wearables any less worth looking into. Their fourth-generation Versa fitness tracker can lead you through animated workouts or help plan a balanced regime and also features calls notifications, text messages or contactless payments if worn at stores that support it.
At 18 months old, the original Versa still offers one of the best combinations between fitness tracker and smartwatch that you can buy for less than $150 – 200.
The Fitbit Versa continues to provide outstanding sleep tracking and a host of useful apps that make staying on top of health easier. Its new Female Health Tracking feature, for instance, makes monitoring menstrual cycles simpler; something no other smartwatch offers without installing third-party solutions.
Other popular fitness and wellness apps include TRX Training, Starbucks, Deezer, Nike+ and Spotify. You can even use the Versa’s Alexa integration to ask questions and control smart home devices — provided your phone is within Bluetooth range of your watch! Notifications mirror notifications from both iPhones and Androids phones (although only iOS users can reply back until back in range of their phone). It mirrors notifications from iPhone and Android phones alike; only iOS users are capable of responding directly via watch unless back within Bluetooth range of their phone!
If you want a fuller smartwatch experience, an Apple Watch Series 9 may be more appropriate; but for less money and with frequent discounts it remains an attractive choice like Fitbit Versa which often drops its price down below $200.
3. Garmin Vivoactive 3 and 4
Garmin offers an incredible variety of fitness-tracking wearables. In the midrange ($300-$500) category alone, for instance, they provide numerous choices including Vivoactive 4/5/6/7 and Sq 2 devices; Garmin Forerunner 265; Instinct series wearables etc – not to mention professional-grade offerings like golf and cycling GPS devices!
All these devices come equipped with sensors and features designed to assist athletes and exercisers of all kinds in achieving their fitness goals, including the new Vivoactive 4, an upgrade on its predecessor vivoactive 3. Its key upgrade lies in the display being brighter and easier to read under direct sunlight; additionally, there’s onboard music storage – an added touch perfect for using while working out.
Bluetooth lets you pair this watch with your smartphone, alerting you of incoming calls, texts, emails and push notifications such as weather forecasts. In addition, it offers music control. During workout sessions, this watch will track activity levels and heart rates before providing you with a comprehensive summary at a session’s end.
The vivoactive 3 and vivoactive 4 are water-resistant watches with interchangeable bands to match your style and an optional Garmin chest strap or bike mount (both sold separately) allows you to bring them with you on all of your outdoor adventures.
One area I wish the vivoactive 3 could improve upon would be its ability to respond to texts sent from my iPhone and display photos or images contained within them. Unfortunately, that feature can only work on Android as Apple prevents third-party wearables from responding or viewing text messages or viewing images/photos in text messages or responding. Regardless, its fitness-tracking smartwatch capabilities make it one of the best values available under $400; particularly considering it comes equipped with heart rate monitor, onboard music storage space, barometer and compass features!
4. TicWatch E3
Mobvoi’s TicWatch E3 smartwatch combines many of the desirable elements found on its Pro model into an accessible price point. While you won’t get dual displays or premium design choices, that doesn’t matter since this watch offers so much more functionality.
Heart rate monitor and blood oxygen sensor features are both outstanding, making this device an invaluable way to track exercise, sleep and stress levels. Plus, with over 100 workout modes to help track progress toward training plans; Google Fit integration also means you can see overall how well you’re doing overall.
Use of the Apple or Android mobile apps for viewing health data and setting workout goals is easy and intuitive, while your watch provides alerts when your heart rate has hit a target zone and also contains pre-loaded workouts to get you going.
Sharing fitness and health data is also an appealing feature that allows you to work towards reaching your goals together.
This device can track your daily activities such as steps, distance traveled and calories burned as well as helping you set and meet workout and nutrition goals. With GPS capabilities built-in, you may even locate nearby gyms or studios.
This smartwatch features contactless payments through Google Pay, so it is possible to leave your phone behind. Furthermore, its excellent battery life lasts around two days on one charge thanks to its Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip and Mobvoi’s dual-processor system delivering impressive performance. In terms of colors available and comfort to wear it is lightweight with comfortable strap options available as well as protective cases available to keep bumps and scratches at bay – the TicWatch E3 makes an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable health and fitness tracker!
